Premier Padel has started its own talk show, and episode one of 'Bandeja' goes straight at the question every fan keeps asking: can padel make the Olympics? The episode, called 'El camino olimpico' (the Olympic road), maps out where the sport actually stands and what still has to happen before Brisbane 2032.

Where padel really stands

Here is the honest picture. Padel is not an Olympic sport. It wasn't on the program for Paris 2024, and it won't be at Los Angeles 2028 either. What it does have is recognition from the International Olympic Committee, which the International Padel Federation secured back in 2020. That is the door, not the ticket.

The 2032 question

Brisbane 2032 is the target everyone points to, and the math is unforgiving. To qualify, a sport has to be widely played across dozens of countries and several continents, and padel's men's spread still falls short of the threshold. The momentum is real, though. Padel was confirmed as a medal sport at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games, with the event slated for late September, a genuine proving ground on a multi-sport stage.
