The Comunidad de Madrid P1 got underway on Tuesday at the Movistar Arena, and Premier Padel's official channel already has the day one highlights up.
Round of 32 gets moving
The men's round of 32 started at 9am local time, with top seeds Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia sitting out the opening round on a bye. Down on court, wildcards and qualifiers made the most of their shot. Ivan Cabeza Teres and Mariano Gonzalez San Martin beat Enrique Goenaga and Manuel Castano Salguero in straight sets, while Denis Perino and Andres Fernandez Lancha needed three sets to get past Ramiro Valenzuela and Daniel Santigosa Sastre. Both wins feature in the reel above.
A fifth Madrid edition
The tournament runs through Sunday and marks the fifth Madrid edition since Premier Padel launched the P1 in 2022. Alejandra Salazar is set for a send-off from the home crowd later in the week, in what will be her final appearance in Madrid before she retires at the end of the season.
