Watch: Bordeaux P2 Day 1 highlights as Spanish pairs open with wins

Premier Padel has dropped its official Day 1 highlights from the Bordeaux P2, and the round of 32 reel is all Spanish. The action ran Tuesday inside the Patinoire de Meriadeck, the Bordeaux ice rink hosting the tournament through July 5.

Who went through

Aimar Goni and Edu Alonso needed three sets to grind past the veteran pairing of Sanyo Gutierrez and Maxi Sanchez Blasco, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3. Alex Ruiz and Juanlu Esbri had a smoother night, beating Javi Garcia and Jose Jimenez 6-4, 6-2.

Both wins book last-16 spots before the big names arrive. Coello, Tapia, Galan and Chingotto don't debut until Thursday, so these early rounds are the place to scout the chasing pack. Watch the full clip above.
