Pro Padel League Brings Its 2026 Tour to Los Angeles

Professional padel touched down in Los Angeles for the first time this season, as the Pro Padel League's second stop of 2026 wrapped up Sunday at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.

A four-day showcase

All 10 PPL franchises sent squads to Los Angeles for matches that ran Wednesday through Sunday, August 13-16. More than 40 professional players took the court, including Sofia Saiz (New York Atlantics), Alex Arroyo (DC Matrix), Lucia Sainz (San Diego Stingrays) and Alex Ruiz (Toronto Polar Bears). The home franchise, Los Angeles Beat, fielded Leonel "Tolito" Aguirre in front of a hometown crowd.

Building on a New York opener

Los Angeles was the season's second tour stop after the league opened in New York. Sunday's matches, branded Podium Day, decided the event's top finishers and handed out points toward the City's Cup finals, set for Miami from December 3 to 6.

Reach beyond the court

The league streamed every match free on its own YouTube channel and put Sunday's Podium Day on CNBC in the United States. Fans in Spain could watch on DAZN and GOL, part of a broadcast footprint the league has steadily expanded since launching. Padel's growth in Southern California has been building for months, with the sport's profile rising well before the pros arrived.

The Pro Padel League's 2026 calendar continues through more North American markets before the season converges on Miami in December, when the year's points leaders will chase the City's Cup title.
