Premier Padel returns to Madrid's Movistar Arena for the Comunidad de Madrid P1 from September 1 to 6, and defending champion Claudia Fernandez is chasing history with a shot at a third straight title in the Spanish capital.

Fernandez goes for the "triplete"

Fernandez won Madrid in 2024 and 2025 alongside Beatriz Gonzalez. This year she is paired with Martina Calvo, and a title would make her the first woman to win three consecutive Madrid crowns. Gonzalez, meanwhile, has a new partner of her own: she now plays with Paula Josemaria, and the pair enters as one of the seeded women's teams. If both duos advance deep into the draw, the old champions could meet the new ones before the final.

New partnerships shake up the men's field

The men's draw carries its own storylines. Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia enter as the world's top-ranked pair and headline the seeding. Last year's men's champions, Leo Augsburger and Martin Di Nenno, are competing separately this time around. Augsburger has teamed up with Juan Lebron, while Di Nenno now plays alongside Paquito Navarro. It's a reminder of how much the pairing carousel has spun since last season's Madrid final.

Qualifying rounds run August 29 to 31 at Pro Padel Coslada, with free admission. The main draw takes over the Movistar Arena from September 1, building to the final on September 6. It's the fifth time Madrid has hosted a Premier Padel event, and organizers are again offering afternoon-only tickets for fans who can't commit to a full day of matches.
