Di Nenno and Navarro Upset Stupaczuk and Sanz to Reach Paris Major Semifinal

Martin Di Nenno and Paquito Navarro are into the Paris Major semifinals after rallying from a set down to beat Franco Stupaczuk and Jon Sanz 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 in Friday's quarterfinals at Roland Garros.

A slow start, then total control

Stupaczuk and Sanz took the first set 6-4, but Di Nenno and Navarro flipped the match in the second, racing through it 6-1. They carried that momentum into the decider and closed it out 6-4 to book their spot in the final four.

Galan and Chingotto also through

In the other men's quarterfinal, Ale Galan and Fede Chingotto needed a tiebreak to see off Edu Alonso and Aimar Goni, winning 7-6, 6-2. The result sets up a Saturday semifinal between Galan and Chingotto and Di Nenno and Navarro, with a place in Sunday's final at stake.

The rest of the draw

Agustin Tapia and Arturo Coello face Juan Lebron and Leo Augsburger in the other men's semifinal. On the women's side, Marta Ortega and Sofia Araujo saved five match points to beat Paula Josemaria and Bea Gonzalez 2-6, 7-6, 7-6, and now play Ari Sanchez and Andrea Ustero. Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea take on Claudia Fernandez and Martina Calvo in the other women's semifinal.
