Lebron and Augsburger Stun Champions Chingotto and Galan to Reach Milano P1 Final

Juan Lebron and Leo Augsburger pulled off the upset of the Oysho Milano Premier Padel P1 on Saturday, rallying from a 0-6 first set to beat defending champions Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan 0-6, 6-2, 6-2 in the men's semifinal at the Allianz Cloud.

Chingotto and Galan, who won this same title last year, raced through the opening set in minutes. Lebron and Augsburger steadied themselves after the break, taking the second set 6-2 and closing out the third the same way to book their spot in Sunday's final.

Coello and Tapia also through

In the other men's semifinal, top seeds Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia beat Franco Stupaczuk and Jon Sanz 6-4, 6-3 in one hour and 18 minutes. It sets up a final between Coello and Tapia, chasing their 12th title together and fourth in a row, and Lebron and Augsburger, looking for their second title of the season after Brussels.

Women's final is Josemaria and Gonzalez vs Sanchez and Ustero

The women's draw also finished its semifinals. Ari Sanchez and Andrea Ustero beat Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea 6-1, 6-4, while Paula Josemaria and Bea Gonzalez beat Claudia Fernandez and Martina Calvo in straight sets. Josemaria and Gonzalez are chasing their first title since Valladolid, while Sanchez and Ustero are going for their fifth of the year.

What's next

Both finals are set for Sunday at the sold-out Allianz Cloud. The women's final starts at 15:00 CEST, with the men's final not before 17:00. The champions in each draw collect 1,000 FIP Ranking points and the tour's Champions' Rings.

Saturday's results mark the first time Chingotto and Galan have lost a Milano P1 match since winning the title in 2025, and the first time this season Coello and Tapia have reached a final without facing Chingotto and Galan on the other side of the net.
