Malaga P1 2026: Coello and Tapia three-peat, Triay and Brea outlast Bea Gonzalez

Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia won a third straight Malaga P1 title on Sunday, blitzing Juan Lebron and Leo Augsburger 6-2, 6-2 in a final that lasted just 53 minutes.

The men: a fast, clean 53 minutes

The top seeds never let the match settle. They broke early in both sets, dropped little on serve, and closed out 6-2, 6-2 on the Palacio Martin Carpena show court. It's their fifth title in a row on tour and a third straight in Malaga, where they've now won every edition of the P1.

Lebron and Augsburger had earned the final by stopping Ale Galan and Fede Chingotto in the semis. Against the world No. 1s, though, they never found a foothold.

The women: three hours, three sets

The women's final was the opposite kind of match. World No. 1s Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea beat home favourite Bea Gonzalez and Paula Josemaria 7-5, 3-6, 7-6 after more than three hours in front of a packed Carpena crowd.

Gonzalez, defending the title she won a year ago, dragged the top seeds into a deciding tie-break before Triay and Brea slammed the door. It's another trophy for the pair that has set the pace in the women's game all season, and it keeps them clear at the top of the rankings.
