Galan and Chingotto to Face Nieto and Yanguas in All-Madrid Men's Final

Nieto and Yanguas escape a tiebreak scare

Nieto and Yanguas needed extra work to get past Argentine pair Gonza Alfonso and Tino Libaak, closing out a 6-4, 7-6 win after saving multiple set points in the second-set tiebreak. It is the first final together for Nieto and Yanguas since they teamed up this season, and it comes days after they knocked out top seeds Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia in the quarterfinals.

Galan and Chingotto keep rolling

Galan and Chingotto, seeded second, gave Jofre and Bautista little room to work with in a straightforward two-set win. It marks another final for a pairing that has been one of the tour's most consistent all season.

A trophy that stays in Madrid

Both Galan and Nieto grew up in the Spanish capital, so Sunday's final guarantees a hometown champion at Movistar Arena regardless of which pair lifts the trophy. The men's championship match follows the women's final on the same court and is not expected to start before 5:45 pm local time.
