London P1 quarterfinals: top seeds sweep through as semifinals are set
Coello and Tapia, Galan and Chingotto, and all four top women's pairs move into Saturday's final four at Premier Padel's first ever UK event.

London's first Premier Padel quarterfinals are done, and the form book mostly held up. Every top four seed in the women's draw and three of the top four men's seeds are through to Saturday's semifinals at Olympia.
Men's draw
World No. 1s Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia needed just 48 minutes to beat Mariano Gonzalez and Curro Cabeza 6-1, 6-2. Second seeds Ale Galan and Fede Chingotto were even quicker, dropping only one game across two sets to beat Momo Gonzalez and Lucas Campagnolo 6-1, 6-0.
Third seeds Juan Lebron and Leo Augsburger had a harder time of it, needing three sets to get past Coki Nieto and Jon Sanz. Paquito Navarro and Martin Di Nenno completed the men's semifinal lineup with a 7-5, 6-7, 6-3 win over Edu Alonso and Aimar Goni that ran past two hours.
Saturday's men's semifinals pair Coello and Tapia against Navarro and Di Nenno, and Lebron and Augsburger against Galan and Chingotto.
Women's draw
Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea faced the toughest test of the day, dropping the first set before recovering to beat Marta Ortega and Sofia Araujo 7-5, 4-6, 6-1. Paula Josemaria and Bea Gonzalez also needed a decider, beating Marta Talavan and Jessica Castello 6-2, 3-6, 6-0.
Claudia Fernandez and Martina Calvo were more comfortable, beating Tamara Icardo and Claudia Jensen 6-3, 6-4, and Ari Sanchez and Andrea Ustero got past Bea Caldera and Carmen Goenaga 7-6, 6-4.
Fernandez and Calvo face Josemaria and Gonzalez in one women's semifinal on Saturday, with Triay and Brea meeting Sanchez and Ustero in the other.
