Premier Padel arrives in Britain for the first time as the London P1 opens at Olympia
Premier Padel lands in Britain for the first time this week. The London P1 gets its main draw underway Tuesday at Olympia in West Kensington, the elite tour's debut on UK soil after qualifying wrapped up over the weekend.
A first for British padel
The top professional circuit has never staged a sanctioned event in the UK, so this is a landmark for one of Europe's fastest-growing padel markets. Olympia's Grand Hall, freshly reopened after a major renovation, hosts the week. Qualifying ran Sunday and Monday, August 2 and 3; the main draw runs August 4 to 9.
The men's draw
Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia head the field as the No. 1 seeds. Right behind them are Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan, seeded second and arriving on a high after lifting the Pretoria P1 title last weekend. Juan Lebron and Leo Augsburger are seeded third, Miguel Yanguas and Franco Stupaczuk fourth, and Martin Di Nenno and Francisco Navarro fifth.
The women's side
World No. 1s Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea lead the women's draw after back-to-back titles in Malaga and Pretoria. Paula Josemaria and Ariana Sanchez sit among the main challengers.
How to watch
UK viewers can follow the action on Red Bull TV and the Premier Padel YouTube channel, with the later rounds streamed through to Sunday's finals.
