London lands Britain's first-ever elite Premier Padel event, at Olympia in August

London will host Britain's first elite professional padel tournament this summer, when the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour brings a P1 event to Olympia from August 4 to 9.

A first for British padel

It's the first time Great Britain has staged a top-tier Premier Padel event. The P1 tier sits just below the tour's Majors, so the men's and women's fields should draw most of the sport's leading players. Matches will be played in Olympia's Grand Hall, in west London.

Why it matters

The timing isn't an accident. British padel has grown fast, with participation roughly doubling over the past year according to the Lawn Tennis Association, which is backing the event as the sport's national governing body in Britain. LTA chief executive Scott Lloyd has said bringing an elite event to the country will help strengthen padel from grassroots courts up to the professional game. The tournament is being delivered by Premier Padel alongside event partner Sela.

Tickets are already on sale through Ticketmaster. The London P1 slots into a packed 2026 calendar that also added Pretoria as a new stop, part of a tour that now runs to 26 events across 18 countries. For UK fans used to following the circuit from afar, Olympia is the first chance to watch the world's best in person.
