Hexagon World Series to Launch in 2027 With Generali Cup Madrid as Season Opener

The Hexagon World Series, padel's first officially sanctioned team circuit, will launch in January 2027 with the Generali Hexagon Cup Madrid as its opening event, organizers confirmed this week.

A new team era for padel

Hexagon Cup, the sports and entertainment agency 54, and the International Padel Federation built the new series together, folding the existing Hexagon Cup format into a full international circuit that sits alongside Premier Padel and the Cupra FIP Tour on the official FIP calendar. The series will pay equal prize money to men and women.

Sergio Lewin, Hexagon Cup's managing director, said: "Building an international circuit of this scale takes time, a strong foundation and close collaboration."

Madrid again, but shorter

The Generali Hexagon Cup Madrid runs January 21-24 at the Caja Magica, one day shorter than the five-day format the event has used before. Generali returns as title sponsor for a second straight year. Organizers say the sporting format and the full roster of teams and players will be released in the coming weeks, along with additional host cities that will round out the 2027 calendar.

Madrid has hosted three previous Hexagon Cup editions. Andy Murray and Anthony Joshua's AD/vantage Padel Team won in 2024 and again in 2026, while Sergio Aguero's Kru Padel by Taktika took the 2025 title.
