Hexagon World Series Sets Four-Continent 2027 Calendar, Eight Teams
The Hexagon World Series has locked in its first full international season. The team padel circuit, run jointly by Hexagon Cup and the International Padel Federation (FIP), announced on October 21 that 2027 will span four stops across three continents.
The calendar
Madrid opens the season at the Caja Magica from January 21 to 24, hosting the GENERALI Hexagon Cup Madrid. The tour then moves to North America in March and Scandinavia in June, with host cities for both still to be confirmed. Abu Dhabi closes the season from October 21 to 24, where the overall champion will be crowned. It is the first time the series has reached four countries in one season.
Eight teams, new scoring
Eight mixed-gender teams will compete, seven of them already confirmed. AD/vantage Padel Team, backed by Andy Murray and Anthony Joshua, returns as the two-time champion after winning in 2024 and 2026. KRU Padel by Taktika, fronted by Sergio Aguero, defends its 2025 title. Eva Longoria's ElevenEleven Team USA, the Rafa Nadal Academy Team, Team Bella Puerto Rico, and X Padel, backed by Formula 1 driver Pierre Gasly, round out the confirmed list. Dalma Team enters as a new Abu Dhabi franchise, with an eighth team still to be revealed.
Each team fields one men's pair and one women's pair, and both carry equal weight in the standings. Matches switch to a best-of-five super tie-break format: the first four tie-breaks go to 10 points, a deciding fifth goes to 6, and a Star Point settles any tie-break that reaches 10-10.
Why it matters
FIP president Luigi Carraro said the calendar reflects "the growing international appeal of our sport." The series grew out of the Hexagon Cup, which has run three editions in Madrid since 2024 and drew more than 37,000 spectators to its 2026 edition, now expanding into a FIP-governed global circuit alongside the Premier Padel and CUPRA FIP Tour calendars.
