Gala and Jensen Win Maiden Title Together, Manquillo Sets CUPRA FIP Tour Record in Bucharest

David Gala and Enzo Jensen finally have a trophy to show for their partnership. The top seeds beat Manuel Aragon and Albert Roglan 7-5, 7-6 in the FIP Gold Bucharest final on Sunday, their first title together after two runner-up finishes earlier this year.

Men's Final: Third Time Lucky

Gala and Jensen had reached two finals as a pair in 2026, at FIP Platinum Albania in Tirana and FIP Silver Alcala de Guadaira, and lost both. Bucharest was different. They held off Aragon and Roglan in a tight opening set before closing it out in a second-set tiebreak. Jensen said the week had followed a rough stretch in Paris. Gala called the win important fuel heading into the rest of the season.

Women's Final: A Record for Manquillo

Lucia Martinez and Leti Manquillo were playing together for the very first time, and they made it count. The pair beat Araceli Martinez and Laura Lujan 6-2, 7-5 in one hour and 46 minutes to win the title.

For Manquillo it was a landmark. The trophy is her 17th on the CUPRA FIP Tour, a new record that makes her the most successful player in the circuit's history. It was also her fifth title of a season that has already produced four FIP Silver wins.

"Tactically, we played a perfect match," Manquillo said. "We had some difficulties in the second set, but thanks to our teamwork we managed to stay focused."

Martinez, for her part, picked up her second FIP Gold title in under a month, having also won in San Luis, Mexico in August.

Both pairs picked up ranking points and momentum heading into the final stretch of the CUPRA FIP Tour season, with more Gold and Silver events still to come before the year closes out.
