Coello and Tapia Stretch Their World No. 1 Lead to 3,217 Points After London

Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia are further out in front at the top of the men's padel world rankings after their London P1 title last week. The latest FIP world rankings, updated August 10, put Coello and Tapia on 21,123 points, with Alejandro Galan and Federico Chingotto next on 17,906. The gap between the top two pairs now stands at 3,217 points.

Eighth Title of the Year

Coello and Tapia beat Galan and Chingotto in the London P1 final on August 9 to claim their eighth title of the 2026 season, according to the official FIP recap of the event. It was the latest chapter in a rivalry that has produced repeated finals between the two pairs this year, with the FIP recap noting wins earlier in the season in Riyadh, Cancun, Rome, Valencia, Valladolid, Bordeaux and Malaga.

Lebron Holds Third

Juan Lebron remains the closest challenger outside the top two pairs, sitting third in the rankings with 8,310 points, more than 12,000 points behind the leaders. The current rankings reflect results through the London P1 event. The next scheduled update comes after the Mediterranean Games padel debut in Taranto and the Madrid P1, which runs from August 31 to September 6.

Neither pair has a tournament on the calendar this week, giving both sides a break before the ranking picture shifts again in Madrid.
