Bordeaux P2 quarterfinals set: all four top men's pairs through to Friday's last eight
Every one of the top four men's pairs is through to the Bordeaux P2 quarterfinals, which get under way Friday, July 3 at 10:00 local time in Bordeaux.
Top seeds Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia looked untouchable in the round of 16, brushing aside Maxi Sanchez and Xisco Gil 6-0, 6-1. They now meet Momo Gonzalez and Lucas Campagnolo, who edged Edu Alonso and Aimar Goni in three.
The other side of the draw
Ale Galan and Fede Chingotto beat David Gala and Enzo Jensen 6-4, 6-2 and face Coki Nieto and Jon Sanz, the pair who ended Juanlu Esbri and Alex Ruiz's run. Martin Di Nenno and Paquito Navarro, 6-2, 6-1 winners over Inigo Jofre and Jairo Bautista, draw Juan Lebron and Leo Augsburger.
A tricky one to call
The last quarterfinal pits Mike Yanguas and Franco Stupaczuk, comfortable 6-2, 6-4 winners in the last 16, against Juan Tello and Maxi Arce, who needed three sets and a final-set tie-break to get past Javi Leal and Fran Guerrero. Play begins at 10:00.
