Coello and Tapia close a loaded Friday of Valladolid P2 men's quarterfinals

Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia will be the last men on court Friday in Valladolid, closing a stacked quarterfinal card at the Premier Padel P2. The top seeds face Inigo Jofre and Jairo Bautista in the night-cap, the final match after Alejandro Galan and Federico Chingotto play the slot before them.

The men's last eight runs into the evening. Juan Lebron and Leandro Augsburger open the session not before 5 pm against Jeronimo Gonzalez and Lucas Campagnolo. Fourth seeds Franco Stupaczuk and Miguel Yanguas follow not before 6 pm versus Francisco Guerrero and Javier Leal. Second seeds Galan and Chingotto take center court not before 8 pm against Martin Di Nenno and Francisco Navarro, with Coello and Tapia on right after.

How they got here

Coello and Tapia rolled through the round of 16, beating Federico Chozas and Tomas Libaak 6-2 6-3. They take a 35-5 record as a pair in 2026 into Friday. Their opponents, Jofre and Bautista, are 6-3 together this season and edged Garcia and Lijo 7-5 7-6(4) to reach the quarters.

The other side of the draw

Galan and Chingotto have been the form pair of 2026 at 38-5, and they dropped only three games per set in dispatching Hernandez and Martinez 6-3 6-3 in the last 16. A semifinal between the two top seeds would set up another chapter of the rivalry that has decided Rome and Valencia this spring.
