Spain and the United States Set for FIP Senior World Cup Women's Final

Spain's senior women swept the Netherlands 4-0 in the semifinals of the FIP Senior World Cup 2026 and will face the United States on Saturday for the title.

How Spain Got Here

The wins came across four age brackets in Buenos Aires. Isa Dominguez and Nuria Rivas took the 45+ match 6-3, 6-2. Lucia Sainz and Lorena Alonso were dominant in the 40+ category, winning 6-1, 6-0. Belen Castrillo and Maricruz Baquero closed out the 60+ tie 6-2, 6-1, while Eva Gayoso and Maria Wakonigg won the 55+ rubber 7-5, 6-1.

Spain arrived in Buenos Aires as the defending champion, having won the title two years ago in La Nucia, Spain. A win over the United States would make it back-to-back world titles for the Spanish senior program.

The United States reached the final by beating Belgium 3-1 in the semifinal, a run that has been one of the stories of the week in Buenos Aires.
