Top Seeds Stupaczuk and Sanz Face Guerrero and Leal in Lyon Final

Franco Stupaczuk and Jon Sanz meet Fran Guerrero and Javi Leal in Sunday's FIP Platinum Lyon final, a clash of the tournament's top two seeds after both pairs needed three sets just to get there.

Three-set semifinals for both pairs

Stupaczuk and Sanz dropped the opening set 4-6 to Esbri and Jofre before turning it around, winning 6-2 and closing the match 7-6 in a third-set tiebreak. Guerrero and Leal won their first set 7-5 against Gonzalez and Campagnolo, then collapsed 2-6 in the second before recovering to finish 6-4.

What is at stake

Guerrero and Leal are playing their fourth final of 2026 and could add a second French Platinum title to the one they won in Marseille back in February. Stupaczuk and Sanz are chasing their second trophy since teaming up at FIP Gold Belgrade earlier this year. Four of the world's top 16 players share the court on Sunday, with two of them ranked in the top 10.

The men's final starts no earlier than 16:30 CEST in Lyon, with FIP streaming the match live on its official YouTube channel.

A final for the women too

Sunday also brings the women's final. Bea Caldera and Carmen Goenaga, who beat Alix Collombon and Ksenia Sharifova 6-2, 6-3 in the semifinal, face Martina Fassio and Agueda Perez Ortiz, who won their own semifinal 6-3, 6-1. That match starts at 14:30 CEST. It is the first final Caldera and Goenaga have reached together since Bordeaux in July 2025.
