Araujo and Graca Win FIP Bronze Portimao Title on Home Soil

Pedro Araujo and Pedro Graca won the FIP Bronze Portimao title on Sunday, beating Spain's Pepe Aliaga and Samu Rivas 6-3, 6-3 in front of a home crowd at the Municipal Tennis and Padel Complex in Portimao.

A Second Title on Home Soil

The Portuguese pair never let Aliaga and Rivas back into either set. They broke early and closed out the first 6-3, then repeated the scoreline in the second to seal the match in straight sets. It's their second FIP Bronze title of 2026 - they also won in Madeira back in February.

Graca said the win meant more because it came at home. "We are happy and proud to have won another FIP title," he said. "This success is even more special because it came at home, in the Algarve, in front of our family, friends and all the people who came to support us."

The Road to the Final

Araujo and Graca reached the final by getting past Sergio Icardo and Jordi Casanova 6-4, 6-3 in the semifinals. The tournament ran from August 5 to August 9 at the Municipal Tennis and Padel Complex and drew players from across the FIP circuit chasing world ranking points.

The women's final went the other way for the home fans: Spain's Paula Ferran and Susana Martin beat Clarinha Santos and Brittany Dubins 6-4, 2-6, 6-4, their second FIP Bronze title of the year after also winning in Warsaw back in June.
