Spain named its 16-player roster for the FIP World Cup on Thursday, staging a live reveal show at the CUPRA City Garage in Madrid to unveil the squad heading to Doha in November.

## The men's eight
Selector Juanjo Gutierrez picked Arturo Coello, Ale Galan, Juan Lebron, Paquito Navarro, Mike Yanguas, Jon Sanz, Coki Nieto and Aimar Goni. Goni's strong season alongside Edu Alonso earned him the final backhand spot, while Momo Gonzalez and Fran Guerrero missed the cut.

## The women's eight
Carolina Navarro named Gemma Triay, Ari Sanchez, Bea Gonzalez, Paula Josemaria, Andrea Ustero, Claudia Fernandez, Martina Calvo and Martita Ortega. Ortega's spot pushed out Ale Salazar, who will miss what would have been her last World Cup with the senior team.

Spain travels to Doha as reigning champion, chasing another title at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex from November 2 to 7.
